“Being part of the first cohort marked an important step in my journey… I am proud to identify with Inawa Institute’s vision and with the importance it places on developing young talent.” says Ivan Houngbo, a fellow of the 2024-2025 Inawa Skoon Fellowship. He joins the Aix-Marseille School of Economics (AMSE), in France, in September 2025.
The Inawa Skoon Fellowship is the Institute’s fully funded twelve-month professional immersion as a research assistant. Ivan went through its first cohort alongside Delphine Hounye, Kawsar Gounou and Stéphène Ezin.
“This experience allowed me to become fully engaged in fieldwork while strengthening both my technical and interpersonal skills in a lasting way,” he says. At AMSE, department of Aix-Marseille University, he enters the Magistère in Economics, Data Science and Finance. The program extends a path built at the intersection of economics, data analysis and computer science.
Inawa Institute wishes his “Tonton Ivran” every success in Aix-Marseille.
