Inawa Institute is pleased to highlight the career of Stephen Ezin, a recipient of the 2024-2025 Inawa Skoon Fellowship.
Holder of a Master’s degree in Mathematics, Economics and Statistics, he is joining the PhD program in economics at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, in the United States. He enters the program in September 2025, with research focused on applied econometrics and causal inference.
Stephen belongs to the first cohort of the Inawa Skoon Fellowship, the Institute’s professional immersion in research assistance, working alongside Delphine Hounye, Kawsar Gounou and Ivan Houngbo.
This move into doctoral study reflects the purpose of the program: preparing young researchers for demanding academic and professional paths. The Institute congratulates “the tallest from Inawa” and will follow the next stage of his career with interest.
